The Auto-Connect VE482SPL is a speaker enclosure designed specifically for high-performance car audio and SPL applications. It accommodates four 8" (20 cm) midrange or SPL speakers as well as two tweeters, making it ideal for building a highly efficient front-firing or public address system.
A distinctive feature of the VE482SPL is its flexible enclosure design. Thanks to the removable side panels, the enclosure can be operated either as a closed enclosure or as a vented enclosure. In vented mode, the enclosure is tuned to 68 Hz and designed for high efficiency and powerful sound reproduction. In sealed mode, on the other hand, the sound reproduction is more controlled.
Inside, the VE482SPL is divided into two separate chambers. Each chamber has a net volume of 21 liters and houses two 8-inch speakers. Sound-deadening material inside the enclosure helps dampen sound.
The enclosure is made of 12 mm thick MDF and is covered with black carpet on the outside. Pre-installed terminal blocks and pre-wired speaker cables make it easy to install the desired speakers.
