How much power does the B2 Audio RAGE15 v3 require from a power amplifier?

The subwoofer can handle 2,000 watts RMS continuous power. For optimum performance, we recommend a power amplifier with 1,500–2,500 watts RMS and the appropriate impedance. The dual 2-ohm voice coils allow for 1-ohm or 4-ohm configurations.

What size case does the RAGE15 v3 require?

The recommended net volume is 80–120 litres for sealed enclosures and 120–180 litres for bass-reflex designs. The exact dimensions depend on the desired tuning.

How low does the subwoofer go, and is it suitable for all genres of music?

With a frequency range of 10 Hz – 500 Hz, the RAGE15 v3 covers all relevant bass frequencies. It delivers both the deepest sub-bass for electronic music and precise kick drum bass for rock and metal.

Is the carbon fibre membrane prone to damage?

The carbon membrane is extremely robust and durable. It can withstand high loads and is resistant to normal environmental conditions inside the vehicle. Provided it is fitted correctly, no special care is required.

What does 38 mm Xmax mean for the RAGE15 v3?

Xmax refers to the linear excursion of the voice coil. On the B2 Audio RAGE15 v3, the linear excursion is 20 mm (one-way), which corresponds to a peak-to-peak excursion of 40 mm. This large excursion enables very high cone movement whilst maintaining controlled reproduction, ensuring powerful and clean bass, particularly at high volumes and low frequencies.

Can I combine several RAGE15 v3 subwoofers?

Yes, several subwoofers can be combined without any problems. When wiring them up, you must take the impedances into account. Two subwoofers not only double the sound pressure level, but also improve the bass distribution inside the vehicle.

What accessories are included in the package?

The subwoofer is supplied with mounting screws and detailed installation instructions. Cables, the enclosure and the power amplifier must be purchased separately. The packaging provides optimum protection for the 630 oz magnet system during transport.

How does the v3 version differ from earlier RAGE models?
