HiFonics ZXE12S4

The HiFonics ZXE12S4 from the ZEUS EVOLUTION series impresses with its robust construction, high-quality materials, and powerful bass reproduction. At its heart is a solid Y35 magnetic drive with a 140 mm diameter and a generously sized 64 mm voice coil. This combination enables high power handling and controlled cone movement, even during demanding bass passages.

To ensure optimal heat dissipation, the subwoofer features a vented pole piece bore. Specially shaped pole plates allow for a large mechanical cone excursion of up to ±17 mm. The hand-formed, coated paper cone is double-stitched to the surround, ensuring a stable connection as well as precise and dynamic bass reproduction.

With a power handling capacity of 300 watts RMS and 600 watts peak, the ZXE12S4 offers ample power reserves for powerful low-frequency reproduction. Thanks to its optimized Thiele-Small parameters, the subwoofer is suitable for both bass-reflex and sealed enclosures. Free-air use is also possible in principle.

Visually, the ZXE12S4 underscores its place in the ZEUS series with its rugged steel basket, distinctive blue cone seam, and blue magnet protector.
