The HiFonics VULCAN VRX800A is a compact active subwoofer that combines powerful bass reproduction with a space-saving design. Thanks to its sturdy all-aluminum enclosure, the system is particularly well-suited for installation under the vehicle seat and significantly improves low-frequency response without taking up much space in the trunk.
Inside, a powerful 20 cm (8-inch) specialized woofer operates, which was specifically designed for the small cabinet volume. Its exceptionally durable cone withstands the high air pressures inside the compact cabinet and ensures controlled bass reproduction.
Power is provided by an integrated Class A/B MOSFET power amplifier with 125 watts RMS and up to 250 watts of peak power. Unlike simpler amplifier solutions, HiFonics relies on a full-fledged amplifier circuit that enables reliable power delivery.
For custom sound tuning, the VRX800A features an adjustable low-pass filter, a bass boost, and a switchable phase control. The included bass level remote control allows you to conveniently adjust the bass volume from the driver's seat.
Thanks to its RCA and high-level inputs, the active subwoofer is compatible with both aftermarket radios and many factory-installed car stereos. The automatic power-on feature makes it easy to integrate into existing sound systems.
