Premium DSP technology for demanding audiophiles

The Helix series impresses with state-of-the-art DSP processors that operate at 96 kHz and enable precise sound tuning. From the compact C ONE to the powerful V TWELVE, the range covers every power requirement – whether a 1-channel monoblock with extreme RMS ratings at 1 ohm or versatile 6-channel amplifiers. The Ultimate models in particular, with DirectDSP technology and built-in Bluetooth streaming, set new standards. Thanks to flexible impedance matching from 1 to 4 ohms and features like high-level input or TwinPower Link, even the most demanding installations can be realized.

How much power does your Helix amplifier need?

The right Helix amplifier choice depends on your speakers and sound goals. For punchy bass, 1-channel models like the Helix P One Mk2 are ideal, with extreme RMS ratings at 1 ohm. Complete systems benefit from 6-channel amplifiers like the Helix P SIX DSP ULTIMATE – enough power for front and rear speakers plus a subwoofer, all in one unit. The built-in DSP allows for precise tuning to your vehicle's acoustics at 96 kHz. It's important to correctly match amplifier power to speaker impedance. Our configurator helps you find the ideal combination of watts and ohms for maximum efficiency, so you avoid overloading your system and get the best out of your high-end setup.

Frequently asked questions about Helix amplifiers

Can a Helix be connected to an amplifier?

Helix units are amplifiers themselves and connect directly to the speakers. However, you can combine multiple Helix amplifiers or link them via TwinPower Link. For more advanced setups, DSP models can also be paired with external amplifiers.

What are the benefits of a DSP amplifier?

A DSP amplifier enables precise sound optimization through digital signal processing at 96 kHz. You can fine-tune time alignment, crossovers, and equalizer settings exactly to your vehicle's acoustics. The DirectDSP technology in the Ultimate models also offers Bluetooth streaming and extended configuration options.

Who manufactures Helix Audio?

Helix is developed and manufactured by Audiotec Fischer – a German specialist in high-end car audio. The company is known for its innovative DSP technologies and has already achieved international competition success with its products. At MT Audio Shop, you'll find the complete Helix range along with personal expert advice.

Is Helix an amp modeler?

No, Helix car audio amplifiers are not amp modelers, but genuine amplifiers for vehicle sound systems. They amplify the audio signal and drive your speakers with power outputs ranging from a few watts up to over 2,000 watts RMS. The built-in DSPs are used for sound optimization, not amplifier simulation.

How much power do I need for my subwoofer?

The optimal amplifier power depends on your subwoofer and its impedance. For powerful bass, 1-channel models like the Helix P One Mk2 are recommended, with extreme RMS ratings at 1 ohm. Pay attention to impedance matching: modern Helix amplifiers work flexibly from 1 to 4 ohms.

Does my Helix amplifier get too hot during operation?

Helix amplifiers feature efficient cooling designs and protective circuitry. Under sustained full load or an unfavorable mounting position, additional cooling may be beneficial. Make sure there's adequate air circulation and avoid direct sunlight – external fans can help if needed.

Can I combine different Helix models?

Yes, you can easily combine different Helix amplifiers in one system. For example, use a 6-channel amplifier like the P SIX DSP ULTIMATE for the front and rear speakers, plus a separate 1-channel amplifier for the subwoofer. This keeps the sound tuning consistent throughout. Alternatively, 2-channel stereo amplifiers are also suitable for driving the front system in smaller installations.

What advantages do the Ultimate versions offer?

Ultimate models like the HELIX NEXT V EIGHT DSP ULTIMATE offer extended features: top-tier DSP processing power, more input options (optical SPDIF), DirectDSP technology, and often built-in Bluetooth streaming. They're particularly well suited for demanding installations that require maximum flexibility in sound shaping.
