The AudioControl EPICPRO6S is a high-performance 16.5-cm midrange driver from the EPIC PRO series, designed specifically for high sound levels, high efficiency, and precise sound reproduction. Thanks to its particularly flat design, it is also suitable for vehicles where there is limited installation depth available behind the speaker mount. Despite its compact design, the EPICPRO6S is built to handle high power and achieves a sensitivity of 93.1 dB at 1 W / 1 m.

A distinctive feature is the Phase-Cap design used by AudioControl. It combines the characteristics of a classic dust-cap dome with those of a phase plug, thereby supporting a wider usable frequency range and a smoother transition into the high frequencies. At the same time, lightweight components and precise manufacturing tolerances ensure efficient driver performance and low distortion, even at high volume levels.

With a frequency range of 120 to 8,000 Hz, the EPICPRO6S is particularly well-suited for high-performance front-of-house systems, pro audio, and SPL applications. Depending on the desired maximum output level, AudioControl recommends different high-pass filter settings. With a high-pass filter set to 200 Hz at 12 dB/octave, the speaker can be driven at up to 200 watts RMS.
