Can I connect my steering wheel remote control to the STINGER IE268E?

Yes, the STINGER IE268E supports connection to a steering wheel-mounted remote control. To do this, you will need a vehicle-specific adapter cable, which is available separately. Programming is carried out via the head unit’s settings menu.

Which file formats can the car radio play?

The 2-DIN car radio plays common audio formats such as MP3, WMA and FLAC. For videos, it supports AVI, MKV, MOV, FLV and WMV. For images, you can play JPEG, PNG and BMP files via the USB-A port.

How big is the display on the STINGER IE268E?

The moniceiver features a 6.8-inch touchscreen display with capacitive touch. The screen measures 17.8 cm diagonally and provides a clear display for navigation, media and settings.

What can I do with the two camera inputs?

The two RCA camera inputs allow you to connect a reversing camera and an additional front-facing camera. The system automatically switches to the reversing camera when you select reverse gear. The second camera can be activated manually.

Do Android Auto and Apple CarPlay work wirelessly?

The STINGER IE268E supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It connects via a USB cable for optimum stability and to charge your smartphone at the same time, or via Bluetooth.

What is the car radio’s music output?

The built-in amplifier delivers a maximum music output of 4 × 45 watts to the speakers. This power is sufficient for most vehicles. For even more power, you can connect additional power amplifiers via the RCA outputs.

Can I use the STINGER IE268E as a sat-nav?

The 2-DIN unit itself does not have built-in sat-nav. However, via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, you can use your smartphone’s sat-nav functions on the 6.8-inch display. Google Maps or Apple Maps are then shown directly on the touchscreen.

How does DAB+ reception work on the STINGER IE268E?

The digital radio receives DAB+ stations in excellent quality with no interference. A DAB aerial is included, so you can start receiving DAB+ straight away. The car radio shows station information and programme guides directly on the display.
