Does the Pioneer SPH-DA230DAB work with any Android smartphone?

The car radio is compatible with most Android devices running version 5.0 or later. To use Android Auto, you’ll need a USB cable and the Android Auto app. The connection is made via a cable only; it does not work via Bluetooth.

What is included with the SPH-DA230DAB 2-DIN unit?

The package contains the car radio, an external GPS aerial, a microphone for the hands-free kit and the fitting materials. A DAB aerial must be purchased separately if your car does not have one fitted as standard.

How do I use AppRadio Mode on this mono receiver?

AppRadio Mode works with selected apps via a connected iPhone. You’ll need a special cable from the manufacturer and must have the compatible apps installed on your device.

Can I optimise the settings for my speakers using Auto EQ?

The car radio features a 13-band graphic equaliser, high-pass and low-pass filters, and subwoofer controls for customising the sound.

What are the advantages of DAB+ over normal radio?

DAB+ digital radio offers noise-free reception and consistent sound quality. You get more stations than with FM, and additional information such as the track title and artist is shown on the display.

Is the device compatible with all cars?

The SPH-DA230DAB fits into any standard 2-DIN slot. Check your vehicle’s installation dimensions before purchasing. For some models, you may need vehicle-specific adaptors for the power supply and speakers.

How does the Sound Retriever work with Bluetooth?

This technology enhances compressed music when streaming audio via Bluetooth. Lost frequencies are restored, so your music sounds almost as good as a CD.

Can I play video content whilst driving?

For safety reasons, videos will only play when the handbrake is engaged. However, Waze’s navigation features and other driving-related apps remain fully usable whilst driving.
