AudioControl SPK-12S2/S4

The AudioControl SPK-12S2 / SPK-12S4 from the Spike Series is a powerful 30-cm subwoofer designed to deliver deep, punchy bass and controlled bass reproduction in a vehicle. With a 500-watt RMS power handling capacity, a large linear cone excursion, and a robustly built driver unit, it is suitable for both sound-oriented systems and those requiring high bass levels.

The cone consists of a special fiber-paper matrix with a mica coating. This design combines high rigidity with low weight, thereby ensuring precise sound reproduction even during large cone excursions. The high-excursion design allows for a linear stroke of 14 mm and ensures that the subwoofer can move a correspondingly large volume of air.

A three-layer, high-temperature-resistant voice coil design improves thermal stability at high power levels. In addition, AudioControl employs a dual-damping system to control diaphragm movement, as well as a dual-dust-cap system designed to reduce compression effects inside the enclosure. A removable protective grille is included with the product.

The subwoofer is available in two impedance variants. The SPK-12S2 has an impedance of 2 ohms, while the SPK-12S4 has an impedance of 4 ohms. This allows you to choose the appropriate variant based on the amplifier you are using and your desired system configuration.
