The Auto-Connect DROLL20 is a self-adhesive aluminum butyl insulation mat designed to effectively reduce vibrations, resonances, and annoying rattling noises in vehicles. Thanks to its combination of high mass and flexible installation, the material is particularly well-suited for stabilizing large body panels and trim components.
The convenient roll format, measuring 50 x 400 cm, provides a total of 2 m² of insulation coverage. Unlike individual insulation panels, this allows the material to be cut to the required dimensions with exceptional flexibility. This makes installation as efficient as possible, especially for larger areas such as doors, the trunk, or the vehicle floor.
With a material thickness of 2 mm and a total weight of about 6.12 kg, the DROLL20 has sufficient mass to effectively dampen thin sheet metal. This not only reduces annoying vehicle noise but also creates better acoustic conditions for aftermarket car audio speakers. Fewer resonating body panels enable more precise and controlled sound reproduction, particularly in the door area.
The insulation mat is self-adhesive and can be applied directly to the desired surface after thorough cleaning and degreasing. To ensure an even and durable bond, it is recommended to press it down carefully using a suitable pressure roller.
