The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The QUANTUM QXB bass-reflex enclosures from ESX stand out for their exceptionally compact and slim design. Despite their space-saving design, they offer high power handling and powerful bass reproduction. This makes these subwoofers ideal for vehicles with limited installation space.

The ESX QXB8 features a powerful 20 cm (8-inch) subwoofer with a generously sized 64 mm dual voice coil. With a power handling capacity of 400 watts RMS and 800 watts peak, the system is also designed for use with high-power external amplifiers.

Thanks to the two 2-ohm voice coils, the subwoofer can be flexibly configured for a total impedance of either 1 ohm or 4 ohms. This allows the system to be optimally adapted to the technical requirements of the amplifier being used.

The sturdy, compact bass-reflex enclosure features high-quality embroidered logo. An included protective grille shields the subwoofer cone from damage. In addition, the included feet allow for an alternative down-firing configuration, in which the woofer radiates sound downward. This way, the top of the enclosure can still be used as a storage surface in the trunk.
