For anyone who wants to wirelessly transmit audio signals from a smartphone to an amplifier, car stereo, or other control unit, the ESX VM-BTR1. This Bluetooth audio receiver is suitable for car audio applications as well as for use in marine and motorcycle applications, thanks to its IPX6 protection rating.

The device connects to the audio system via the built-in 3.5-mm stereo jack output. For amplifiers or other devices with RCA inputs, a corresponding adapter for 2 x RCA is included in the package. This makes it easy to add Bluetooth audio streaming to older car stereos, amplifiers, or sound systems.

The VM-BTR1 uses Bluetooth 4.0 and A2DP and supports HD audio up to 48 kHz. It also features Qualcomm®'s aptX® technology. The audio transmission covers a frequency range from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.

The integrated remote switch output is particularly convenient for direct operation with a power amplifier. It provides a +12-V switching signal with up to 20 mA and can be used, for example, to turn on an amplifier. The receiver itself is powered directly from the 12-V vehicle electrical system or the ACC/ignition power supply.
