AudioControl ACR-U bass control

The AudioControl ACR-U is a versatile, wired level control for line-level audio signals. It is particularly well-suited for conveniently adjusting the subwoofer level from the driver's seat, but can also be used to control the volume of individual zones or an entire line-level signal path.

Unlike remote controls that work exclusively with specific amplifiers or DSPs, the ACR-U is integrated directly into the RCA signal path between the signal source and the amplifier. This allows it to be used with virtually any audio system that has line-level inputs and outputs.

The system consists of two components: the compact ACR-U hub for the RCA connections and the separate ACR-U remote controller. A standard Cat5e cable is used between the hub and the controller. This allows the RCA cables to be kept short, while the actual controller can be flexibly mounted in an easily accessible location.

Another advantage is its fully passive operation: The ACR-U requires no additional power supply. The level is adjusted using an easy-to-grip rotary knob. In addition to standard surface mounting, the control unit can be removed from its housing for custom integration and installed, for example, flush with the dashboard or center console.
