AudioControl EPICENTER Micro

The AudioControl The EPICENTER Micro combines a powerful bass processor with a high-quality high-low adapter for integrating aftermarket amplifiers into modern car audio systems. This compact device is suitable for systems with RCA outputs as well as for direct connection to the speaker outputs of a factory radio or OEM amplifier.

At its core is AudioControl’s digital bass restoration technology. It analyzes the incoming audio signal and reconstructs low-frequency components that were lost or attenuated during recording, playback, or signal processing by a factory audio system. This allows for the creation of a significantly more powerful foundation for the subwoofer, particularly with music that lacks deep bass.

With ParaBASS®, you can tailor the bass processing to the vehicle, your musical preferences, and the subwoofer system you’re using. In addition, a PFM subsonic filter is available that can be set to 20 Hz if desired or bypassed entirely.

For integration into OEM systems, the EPICENTER Micro features a two-channel high-level input capable of handling input voltages up to 40 V RMS or 400 watts. The input impedance can be switched between 20 ohms, 60 ohms, and 20 kOhm. This allows the processor to be adapted to factory systems that monitor connected speaker loads and, when using a standard high-low adapter, may otherwise trigger error messages or a shutdown.

Alternatively, a two-channel RCA input is available for existing preamp signals. The EPICENTER Micro offers several options for automatic power-on: GTO™ Signal Sense, Audio Sense, or a standard 12-V remote input. In addition, when powered on, the unit provides a 12-V remote output to control downstream components.

The package includes the AudioControl ACR-4 wired remote control with two rotary knobs. This allows the driver to adjust bass restoration and output level independently of each other directly from the driver's seat. This makes it easy to adjust the intensity of the deep bass to suit different songs or listening situations.

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the EPICENTER Micro takes up very little space and can therefore be easily integrated into a car audio system, even in tight installation spaces. The coated circuit board also offers enhanced protection against environmental factors
