AudioControl EPICENTER

The AudioControl The EPICENTER is a high-quality signal processor for car audio systems, specifically designed to restore and selectively amplify low bass frequencies. Unlike a simple bass boost, the patented Bass Maximizer™ technology analyzes the incoming music signal and reconstructs low-frequency components that were reduced during recording, mastering, or by the factory-installed audio system.

This makes the EPICENTER particularly well-suited for systems with a high-performance subwoofer, where the desired deep bass is missing from the music signal despite sufficient amplifier power. The intensity of the bass restoration can be conveniently adjusted from the driver's seat using the included ACR-1 wired remote control.

To ensure seamless adaptation to different subwoofer systems, the processor also features parametric bass control. The built-in PFM subsonic filter limits unwanted extremely low-frequency components, thereby helping to protect the subwoofer. Balanced inputs help reduce noise interference within the vehicle’s audio system.

Scope of Application

The EPICENTER is particularly recommended for car audio systems that feature a powerful subwoofer but play music that contains very little true low-frequency bass. By reconstructing low-frequency signal components, the subwoofer can make significantly better use of its existing performance potential. Using the ACR-1 remote control, the effect can be adjusted directly while driving, depending on the song.
