HiFonics Zeus Extreme Series

With the ZEUS EXTREME ULTRA CLASS D series, HiFonics presents the most powerful amplifier series in its history to date. HiFonics has taken advantage of the latest developments and improvements in state-of-the-art semiconductors to create this extraordinary series. While analog Class A/B technology always forces a compromise between sound and power efficiency, Class D amps improve efficiency and sound together. This means that with increased efficiency, audio performance will also increase significantly. Another advantage is that with a very high efficiency, large heat sinks can be dispensed with. The ZXT EXTREME amps achieve fantastic efficiency values of around 90%. The beautifully crafted heat sinks with milled model designations, diamond-cut emblems and end caps drawn from solid aluminum with the HiFonics logo underline the unmistakable timeless design - Power From The Gods!

How much power do I need for my subwoofers with the Hifonics ZXT5000/1?

The Zeus Extreme delivers 5,000 watts RMS at 1 ohm, making it ideal for multiple high-powered subwoofers or competition set-ups. At 2 ohms, the amplifier delivers around 3,000 watts, and at 4 ohms, approximately 1,500 watts. Make sure your subwoofers can handle this power.

What cable gauge do I need to install the 5,000-watt amplifier?

For optimum performance, we recommend using a power cable of at least 0 AWG when operating at full power. The earth lead should be of the same gauge. Use high-quality fuses (at least 300A) near the battery to ensure maximum protection for your system.

Does the Zeus Extreme Digital Amplifier get hot when used continuously?

Thanks to the efficient Class D technology and the solid aluminium heat sink, the power amplifier remains relatively cool even under prolonged load. The digital design significantly minimises heat loss compared with analogue amplifiers.

Can I use the ZXT5000/1 with other amplifiers?

Yes, the 1-channel mono amplifier can be combined perfectly with other Hifonics amplifiers for midrange and tweeter drivers. The Zeus Extreme series offers a consistent design and optimised performance characteristics for professional multi-channel systems.

What is included with the Hifonics amplifier?

The ZXT5000/1 is supplied with fixing screws, an instruction manual and all the necessary connectors. Power cables, RCA cables and fuses must be purchased separately – please select these according to the intended power rating.

How do I set up the crossover to suit my bass setup?

The Ultra Class D Digital Mono Amplifier features variable low-pass filters. Set these between 50 and 80 Hz, depending on the type of subwoofer. For SPL applications, you can set them higher; for SQ systems, it’s best to keep them lower.

What speaker impedance is best for maximum audio performance?

To achieve the full 5,000 watts of power, you should aim for a 1-ohm load. You can achieve this, for example, by connecting two 2-ohm subwoofers in parallel or four 4-ohm subwoofers in a suitable configuration.
