The DLS Cruise CRPP-BMW1.4CX is a vehicle-specific 2-way coaxial speaker designed as a direct replacement for the original speakers in BMW and Mini vehicles. Thanks to its precision-fit design, the system can be installed without extensive modifications and offers a clearly audible improvement in sound quality compared to the standard equipment. The Cruise series from DLS is known for its natural, musical sound character, which was developed specifically for integration into original vehicles.
The 4-inch woofer features a glass-fiber cone that ensures precise, low-distortion sound reproduction. It is complemented by a 0.6-inch silk dome tweeter that produces a warm and natural sound. The speaker’s moving parts are optimized for minimal distortion, supported by a powerful magnet system.
The built-in crossover operates at 4.8 kHz with a slope of 12 dB/octave and is equipped with high-quality Mundorf® capacitors. A separate 250 Hz high-pass filter is also included and can be used as needed. The speaker basket is made of glass-fiber-reinforced ABS, providing a stable and low-resonance base.
With a high sensitivity of 87.5 dB, the CRPP-BMW1.4CX delivers impressive sound quality even when connected to lower-power sources such as the factory radio. The package includes a lever tool, various mounting accessories, and detailed installation instructions, all of which make for a straightforward installation.
