Audison APX 5

The APX 5 features a concentric coaxial tweeter: with a single point of sound dispersion, it is possible to obtain a consistent in-phase response, with a consistent reconstruction of the acoustic scene, comparable to a system of separate woofer and tweeter. 5" cones are equipped with the exclusive flat triple-wave profile, which ensures maximum linearity of excursion


Features:

• Concentric coaxial tweeter:
  The tweeter is inside the woofer with a single point of emission, providing a smooth phase response, with accurate recreation of the soundstage comparable to that of a component system.
  
• The tweeter has an acoustic lens specially designed to ensure an extremely linear frequency response, even when placed off-center, which is typical for indoor installations.
  
• 32 mm voice coil made of pure copper, for high power handling and excellent control of low frequencies.
  
• Optimized installation depth for OEM integration thanks to concentric tweeters and the flat basket.
  
• Water-repellent treated paper cone with a developed profile using FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation technology and optimized with the Klippel Scan Vibrometer.
  
• TPU suspension (thermoplastic polyurethane) with unique "triple wave" profile for maximum linearity of deflection.
  
• Compact basket, protected by abrasion-resistant and scratch-resistant coating, the motor is attached with damping epoxy adhesive.
  
• High-current fast-acting terminal with double contact on the positive and negative poles for high flexibility and fast connection.
  The terminal is fitted with a temperature-resistant plastic cover that protects against accidental short circuits.
  
• Developed with the KLIPPEL suite.
