Aktiv-Subwoofer: Volle Power ohne externen Verstärker

Begibst du dich auf die Suche nach einem neuen Subwoofer, dann solltest du dich mit den Besonderheiten der zwei Varianten beschäftigen. Ein Aktiv-Subwoofer ist eine All-in-One-Lösung. Du kaufst dir ein Gerät und erhältst dann einen Subwoofer mit einem integrierten Verstärker. Aktive Subwoofer benötigen also keinen externen Verstärker, sondern sind von Haus aus bereits mit diesem ausgestattet. Das System hat demnach entscheidende Vorteile: Sie sind schnell und einfach zu installieren und bedürfen keiner langen Einrichtung. Lautsprecher und Verstärker sind ab Werk perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt und harmonieren miteinander. Aktivsubwoofer sind meistens platzsparend und damit wunderbar für dein Car Audio Equipment geeignet.

Worauf sollte ich beim Kauf achten?

Möchtest du dein Auto um einen Aktivsubwoofer ergänzen, dann spielt die Qualität eine entscheidende Rolle. Einige Marken bauen eine günstige Endstufe ein und greifen auf die einfachsten Komponenten zurück. Für den Laien ist es dann oftmals schwer zu erkennen, wie gut ein Gerät tatsächlich ist. Deshalb ist es ratsam, dafür auf etablierte Marken, wie ESX oder Ground Zero, zurückzugreifen. Bei diesen kannst du dir sicher sein, dass die Hersteller ihre gewohnt hohe Qualität beibehalten. Auch die Abstimmung dieser Aktivsubwoofer ist erfahrungsgemäß sehr gut und erfüllt deine hohen Qualitätsansprüche. Neben der Qualität spielt auch die Größe eine wichtige Rolle. Die meisten Aktivsubwoofer sind recht kompakt – die Maße variieren jedoch von Modell zu Modell. Prüfe deshalb vor dem Kauf, ob das Gerät deiner Wahl Platz im Kofferraum hat, sich als Untersitz-Subwoofer eignet oder als Reserverad-Subwoofer fungieren kann.

Ein aktiver Subwoofer besteht aus einem Lautsprecher und einem Verstärker. Er kann somit eigenständig und ohne externe Geräte betrieben werden. Ein passiver Subwoofer muss hingegen mit einem externen Verstärker ausgestattet werden. Dabei benötigen Passivsubwoofer mehr Leistung, um auch sehr niedrige Frequenzen wiedergeben zu können.

Du kannst deinen Subwoofer an verschiedenen Stellen in deinem Auto platzieren. Oftmals werden sie im Kofferraum eingebaut, was für eine gute Bassreflex-Wirkung sorgt. Platzierst du den Subwoofer unter deinem Sitz, dann spürst du den Bass noch stärker. Die richtige Platzierung des Subwoofers hat einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf den Klang und sollte deshalb sorgsam gewählt werden.
