Powerful additional amplifiers are always required for good subwoofer systems. If the installation of an external amplifier is too expensive or if you don't have enough space, you can opt for active versions that already have factory-installed amplifiers. But beware, often for cost reasons - difficult for laymen to recognize at first glance - rather weak or outdated analog power amplifiers are installed. Sometimes even the simplest 12 volt bridge chips can be found, which perform no better than simple car radios. ESX takes a different approach here and integrates ultra-modern Class D amplifier modules that can mobilize up to 400 watts/RMS output power. Equipped in this way, the very compact QUANTUM QXB active subwoofer systems deliver extremely high power and bass levels.
ESX uses high-quality, award-winning POWER4 active modules, which are also particularly efficient with an efficiency of up to 84%. Thanks to state-of-the-art Class D circuitry and EPS PRO, these modules are even prepared for connection to very modern vehicles. The bass can be adjusted from the driver's seat using the included wired remote control.
ESX has also included 4 mounting feet in each of the active versions of the QUANTUM QXB subwoofer systems, which can be screwed onto the front if required. This means that both models can be easily converted into "downfire subs". These speakers, with the woofer radiating downwards, are particularly suitable for installation in double trunk floors, for example.
