The Crunch DSX6.2E is an exceptionally slim 16.5-cm 2-way component system designed for vehicles where there is limited installation depth available at the original speaker location. Thanks to the internal magnet assembly, the mid-bass drivers have an installation depth of just 45 mm, making them ideal for space-constrained installations and for replacing many factory-installed speakers.
The 165-mm low-midrange drivers combine sturdy steel baskets with polypropylene cones and durable 25-mm voice coils. The system can handle 2 x 100 watts RMS and operates at an impedance of 4 ohms.
Separate 25-mm fabric-dome neodymium tweeters are used for the high-frequency range. The tweeters are swiveling, allowing their dispersion pattern to be better adjusted to the vehicle’s interior during installation. The compact in-line crossovers included in the package handle the frequency division between the mid-bass driver and the tweeters.
Thanks to its slim design, the DSX6.2E is an attractive solution for doors and other original installation locations where a conventional 165-mm speaker cannot be used due to a large magnet assembly or excessive installation depth.
