The AudioControl A65CS2 from the Altitude series is a high-quality 2-way component speaker system designed for in-vehicle use. The combination of a separate 16.5-cm mid-bass driver, a silk dome tweeter, and a passive crossover enables a clean, spatial separation of the soundstage and balanced reproduction across a wide frequency range.

For the low-midrange driver, AudioControl relies on a precision-molded glass-fiber cone. This rigid yet lightweight material supports controlled, detailed sound reproduction. A lightweight aluminum dust cap complements the design and contributes to high efficiency and extended frequency response.

The butyl rubber surround enables controlled diaphragm movement and, in particular, supports precise reproduction in the low-frequency range. A separate silk dome tweeter handles the high frequencies; it is designed to deliver detailed yet pleasantly balanced high-frequency reproduction.

Thanks to its slim, reinforced steel basket, the low-midrange driver can be installed in many vehicles, even where space is limited. The included passive crossovers handle the signal distribution between the low-midrange driver and the tweeter.

With a 100-watt RMS power handling capacity, 4-ohm impedance, and a frequency range of 65 Hz to 20,000 Hz, the A65CS2 is suitable for both high-quality aftermarket systems and for use with a separate car audio power amplifier.
