GZUC 165.3SQ

The Ground Zero GZUC 165.3SQ is a high-quality 3-way component system from the URANIUM series, designed specifically for precise and detailed music reproduction in vehicles. The combination of a 165-mm low-midrange driver, a separate 55-mm midrange driver, and a 28-mm tweeter enables a clean division of the entire frequency spectrum, thereby laying the foundation for balanced, spatial sound reproduction.

The GZUK 165SQ low-midrange driver features a black anodized aluminum cone. Its high rigidity ensures controlled reproduction of bass and fundamental frequency impulses. A durable rubber surround and the sturdy die-cast aluminum basket provide the necessary mechanical foundation. The generously sized 50-mm copper voice coil is combined with a linearized neodymium driver.

The GZUM 55SQ is used for the particularly important midrange. This compact 55-mm midrange driver features a coated silk dome and a neodymium magnet system. This allows for flexible positioning and enables it to reproduce vocals and instruments in the midrange with particular clarity.

The GZUT 28SQ, featuring a 28-mm silk dome tweeter, handles the high-frequency range. The design is optimized for detailed high-frequency reproduction up to 25 kHz and, together with the midrange and lower-midrange drivers, forms a complete 3-way system.

The GZUC 165.3SQ includes variable passive 3-way crossovers. The crossover frequencies are 450 Hz and 4,500 Hz. The crossovers allow the system to be adapted to the installation situation and the acoustic conditions inside the vehicle.

With a system power handling capacity of 160 watts RMS or 250 watts maximum, a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and a frequency response ranging from 40 Hz to 25 kHz, the GZUC 165 is3SQ is particularly well-suited for high-end car audio systems that prioritize sound quality, detail, and high-quality 3-way reproduction.
