The Ground Zero GZTC 165.2X is a high-performance 2-way component system from the Titanium Series designed for in-vehicle use. The combination of a separate 165-mm mid-bass driver and a compact silk dome tweeter allows for flexible installation and balanced sound reproduction across a wide frequency range.
The low-midrange driver features a textured HQPP cone. Its sturdy construction supports controlled reproduction of bass and midrange frequencies, while the rubber surround ensures the cone has the necessary flexibility. The low-resonance steel basket and ferrite magnet form a robust foundation for daily use in a car audio system.
A 19-mm tweeter with a silk dome is used for the high-frequency range. This extends the speaker system’s response in the upper frequency range up to 22 kHz. The included passive crossover divides the audio signal between the low-midrange driver and the tweeter.
With an impedance of 3 ohms, the GZTC 165.2X is designed for high efficiency. The system achieves 90 dB efficiency and has a power handling capacity of 100 watts RMS or 150 watts maximum. Thanks to its Euro-DIN dimensions, the 165-mm mid-bass driver is suitable for numerous vehicle-specific installation locations and can be used for both retrofit solutions and for building a more powerful car audio system.
