The Ground Zero GZRW 15XSPL D2 from the RADIOACTIVE series is a powerful 38-cm subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require high bass levels and punchy low-frequency reproduction. With a power handling capacity of 1,200 watts RMS and up to 1,800 watts SPL, the 15-inch woofer offers ample power reserves for demanding subwoofer installations.
The reinforced paper cone combines a relatively low moving mass with the stability required for high sound levels. A long-throw sandwich surround allows for extensive cone movement. The mechanical design is supported by a two-layer Polycot centering ring and a low-resonance steel basket.
For the driver, Ground Zero relies on a powerful 75-mm copper voice coil. The dual voice coil with 2 × 2 ohms allows for various connection configurations, making it easier to match the speaker with high-power mono power amplifiers. With a maximum excursion of 45 mm, the GZRW 15XSPL is designed for high bass levels and performance-oriented car audio systems.
The design was optimized using the Klippel® measurement system. An IMPP dust cap featuring a three-dimensional Ground Zero logo visually complements the rugged design
