The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Ground Zero GZRW 12XSPL D2 from the RADIOACTIVE series is a high-performance 30-cm subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require high sound pressure levels and powerful bass reproduction. With a power handling capacity of 1,000 watts RMS and up to 1,500 watts SPL, the subwoofer offers ample headroom for performance-oriented subwoofer setups.

A large 75-mm copper voice coil is used to drive the speaker. Combined with the sturdy steel basket and the reinforced paper cone, the GZRW 12XSPL is designed to withstand high mechanical and electrical stress. The long-throw sandwich surround supports the cone movement required for powerful low-frequency bass pulses.

Thanks to its dual 2-ohm voice coils (2x 2 ohms), the subwoofer offers flexible wiring options. Depending on the system configuration, the two voice coils can be combined as needed and matched to a suitable, high-power amplifier.

The design was optimized using Ground Zero Klippel®. A two-layer Polycot centering system ensures controlled guidance of the moving unit. The design is rounded out by an IMPP dust-proof dome featuring a three-dimensional Ground Zero logo
