The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Ground Zero GZNW 30XMAX-II from the NUCLEAR series is a no-compromise 30-cm subwoofer designed for high-performance car audio systems that demand high volume levels and powerful, deep bass. With an RMS power handling capacity of 3,000 watts and a 75-mm CCA voice coil, the woofer is designed for use with particularly powerful mono power amplifiers.

The sturdy aluminum cone works in conjunction with the generously sized, long-throw sandwich surround to enable a tremendous range of cone movement. With a maximum excursion of 60 mm, the GZNW 30XMAX-II has the mechanical capabilities to move large volumes of air even at high power levels.

A solid cast aluminum basket provides the necessary stability. The four-layer Nomex centering system guides the moving unit in a controlled manner even under high loads, while the aluminum dust cap complements the robust construction of the diaphragm unit. The chassis was also optimized using the Klippel® measurement system.

With its 2 × 1-ohm dual voice coil, the subwoofer offers flexible wiring options and is particularly well-suited for performance-oriented systems with a correspondingly powerful amplifier
