The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Ground Zero GZIW 300 is a high-performance 30-cm subwoofer from the IRIDIUM series, ideal for building powerful car audio bass systems. Its sturdy HQPP cone with a three-dimensional structure combines high power handling with controlled reproduction and, together with the long-throw rubber surround, forms the foundation for powerful, deep bass.

The GZIW 300 has been Klippel®-optimized and features a low-resonance steel basket. A 50-mm copper voice coil provides the drive and is rated for an RMS power handling capacity of 350 watts. Ground Zero recommends an amplifier power output between 200 and 400 watts.

With an impedance of 4 ohms, the subwoofer can be easily paired with a wide range of mono and multichannel power amplifiers. The maximum excursion of 28 mm provides ample headroom for high cone movements. The design is rounded out by a Polycot centering ring and an IMPP dust cap featuring a three-dimensional Ground Zero logo
