The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Ground Zero GZIC 400FX is a compact 2-way component speaker system from the IRIDIUM series. Thanks to its exceptionally shallow installation depth of just 30 mm, the system is ideal for vehicles where there is limited space behind the original speaker mounting.

The 100-mm low-midrange drivers feature a coated paper cone and a flexible rubber surround. This combination of materials enables balanced sound reproduction and is ideal for use in a space-saving front or rear speaker system. The low-resonance steel basket ensures a stable mounting for the speaker, while a ferrite magnet system provides the driving force.

Separate 19-mm silk dome tweeters are used to reproduce high frequencies. The separate positioning of the mid-bass driver and the tweeter allows the high-frequency reproduction to be precisely directed toward the vehicle’s interior. The crossover filters included with the system ensure proper division of the audio signal.

With a power handling capacity of 60 watts RMS and 100 watts maximum, 4-ohm impedance, and a sensitivity of 89 dB, the GZIC 400FX can be used with both a car stereo and a compatible power amplifier.
