Audison APK 690

The APK 690 systems are ideal for vehicle models with doors designed for elliptical speakers and feature 6x9 inch woofers and an AP 1 tweeter with dedicated APCX TW 690 crossovers

The crossovers are ultra-compact for ease of installation and include a level cut at the tweeter output for outstanding fine-tuning

The development and research team optimized the electro-acoustic parameters of the new woofers for installation in the car door while retaining all the features of the Prima speakers, such as the compact basket size for easier installation

The mechanical drop of the woofer cone dust protection system ensures the use without filters, which maximizes efficiency and allows easy driving by any type of amplifier

The large voice coil ensures high power handling and flawless control even with the most aggressive dynamic transients

The double Faston connectors with direct connection to the tweeter speed up the speaker connection and ensure perfect contact at all times.

AP 1 tweeter

• The cone with a diameter of 26 mm in combination with a wide-roll surround ensures maximum efficiency and a reduced resonance frequency.
  
• Acoustic lens to compensate for the frequency response in the vehicle in the range from 10kHz to 13kHz caused by critical OEM positioning.
  
  

AP 690 woofer

• 25 mm pure copper voice coil for high power handling and excellent control of low frequencies.
  
• Water-repellent treated paper cone with a profile developed using FEM (Finite Element Method) simulation technology and optimized with the Klippel R&D Scan Vibrometer.
  
• Reduced installation depth, which enables easy installation in OEM installation locations.
  
• "Triple-Wave" surround profile for maximum linearity of excursion.
  
• Compact basket, protected by an abrasion-resistant and scratch-resistant coating, the motor is attached with damping epoxy adhesive.
  
• High-current quick-connect terminal block with double contact on positive and negative pole for high flexibility and fast connection.
  
  

APCX TW 690 crossover

• Optimized for OEM integration with an attenuation switch (0 dB, +3dB) to tune the response in the vehicle according to the different installation conditions.
