The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

The Ground Zero GZNW 38SPL-D1 / GZNW 38SPL-D2 from the NUCLEAR series is a 38-cm SPL subwoofer designed without compromise for high power handling and enormous sound pressure. With a power handling capacity of 3,500 watts RMS and up to 7,000 watts SPL, the 15-inch woofer is ideal for high-performance car audio systems as well as demanding SPL applications.

A solid cast aluminum basket provides the necessary mechanical stability. The fiber-reinforced paper cone combines high rigidity with the dynamic characteristics required for performance-oriented subwoofers. A 75-mm voice coil with 4-layer CCA flat wire and the 4-layer Nomex suspension are designed for high power handling and large cone excursions.

With a maximum excursion of 80 mm, the GZNW 38SPL offers enormous headroom for powerful bass reproduction. The Klippel®-optimized design ensures controlled behavior of the drive system even at high volume levels. The robust construction is rounded out by a dust cap in a carbon-fiber design.

The GZNW 38SPL is available in two impedance variants: The GZNW 38SPL-D1 features a 2 × 1-ohm dual voice coil, while the GZNW 38SPL-D2 is equipped with a 2 × 2-ohm voice coil. This allows you to select the subwoofer that best matches your existing power amplifier and desired wiring configuration
