The B² Audio RAGEXL15 v3 Carbon was developed for uncompromising high-performance bass systems and is designed for discerning car audio enthusiasts as well as SPL applications. The redesigned v3 Carbon generation combines an extremely torsionally rigid carbon cone with a powerful drive system to deliver maximum headroom, enormous power handling, and precise low-bass reproduction. The robust design, featuring a 3"-high-temperature dual voice coil, long linear excursion, and solid mechanical construction, ensures controlled and clean bass performance even under sustained high loads. Thanks to the optional dual 1-ohm or dual 2-ohm configurations, the subwoofer can be flexibly integrated into high-performance amplifier systems and is suitable for both performance-oriented music systems and ambitious SPL setups.

How much space do I need for the Rage XL15 V3 subwoofer?

The 38 cm subwoofer requires an enclosure volume of between 45 and 85 litres, depending on the design chosen. For optimum results, B2 Audio recommends a sealed enclosure with a volume of 65 litres or a bass-reflex design with a volume of 75 litres.

Which power amplifier is suitable for a 2000-watt RMS subwoofer?

To achieve full power output, your amplifier should deliver at least 2000W RMS at the selected impedance. Thanks to the dual 2-ohm voice coil, you can choose to wire the speaker to either 1 or 4 ohms and optimally match it to your amplifier.

How deep is the Rage XL15 V3 Carbon?

Depending on the enclosure type, the lower cut-off frequency ranges between 25 and 35 Hz. In sealed enclosures, the woofer produces lower frequencies with a gentler roll-off, whilst bass-reflex enclosures generate more impact at the tuning frequency.

Is the carbon membrane sensitive to moisture?

The carbon fibre cone is designed to be extremely robust and moisture-resistant. Nevertheless, the subwoofer should not be exposed to direct contact with water – installing it in a dry location in the boot or under the seats will ensure a long service life.

What is included with the B2 Audio Rage?

The subwoofer is supplied in individual packaging, including mounting screws and detailed installation instructions. The cable, enclosure and power amplifier must be purchased separately.

Can I combine several Rage XL15 V3 units?

Yes, the Rage Series is ideal for multi-subwoofer systems. When wiring up several units, you’ll need to take the total impedance into account and select a power amplifier with the appropriate power rating.

How does Version 3 differ from its predecessors?

The V3 features an optimised voice coil for improved heat dissipation, a reinforced centring spider and revised magnet geometry. These improvements result in a higher power handling capacity and more precise bass reproduction.
