GZRW 30-D2

The Ground Zero GZRW 30-D2 from the RADIOACTIVE series is a high-performance 30-cm subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require powerful low-frequency bass and high power handling. With 800 watts RMS, a generously sized 75-mm copper voice coil, and a long-throw cone design, this subwoofer is particularly well-suited for performance-oriented music systems in everyday use.

The reinforced paper cone combines high stability with the dynamic characteristics required for a subwoofer. Together with the long-throw sandwich surround, it allows for large cone movements, thereby supporting powerful reproduction of low frequencies. The low-resonance steel basket provides a stable mechanical foundation.

Ground Zero uses a Polycot centering system to ensure controlled operation of the suspension system. The GZRW 30-D2 was also optimized using the Klippel® measurement system to precisely tune the behavior of the drivetrain and suspension to work in harmony.

Thanks to its 2 x 2-ohm dual voice coil, the subwoofer offers flexible connection options. Depending on how the two voice coils are wired, a total impedance of 1 ohm in parallel or 4 ohms in series can be achieved. This allows the subwoofer to be paired with a variety of high-power mono power amplifiers.

With a resonance frequency of just 25.7 Hz, the GZRW 30-D2 is clearly designed for deep bass reproduction. Ground Zero recommends an amplifier power output between 600 and 1,200 watts RMS
