The Ground Zero GZIW 12XSPL-D2 from the IRIDIUM series is a high-performance 30-cm subwoofer designed for car audio systems that require high volume levels and powerful bass reproduction. With a power handling capacity of 600 watts RMS and up to 1,000 watts SPL, the driver provides a solid foundation for performance-oriented subwoofer systems.
The reinforced paper cone features a distinctive 3D honeycomb structure that ensures a stable cone design. Together with the long-throw sandwich surround, it allows for significant cone movement. The maximum Xmax is specified as 34 mm.
For the driver, Ground Zero uses a 63-mm copper voice coil. The dual voice coil configuration (2x 2 ohms) offers various connection options, allowing the subwoofer to be flexibly paired with suitable high-power amplifiers.
A low-resonance steel basket in the Ground Zero design forms the sturdy base of the driver. The assembly is complemented by a two-layer Polycot-Conex centering ring and an IMPP dust cap featuring a 3D logo. The driver has also been Klippel®-optimized.
With a resonance frequency of 32.5 Hz, the GZIW 12XSPL-D2 is designed for powerful bass reproduction and is particularly well-suited for high-performance car audio subwoofer projects
