The Phoenix Gold ZP12D2 is a high-performance 12-inch subwoofer from the ZP series, designed specifically for powerful street bass and SPL applications. With a power handling capacity of 1,500 watts RMS and up to 4,500 watts of peak power, it offers enormous power reserves for demanding car audio systems.

At the heart of the ZP12D2 is its 75-mm (3-inch) OFC voice coil in a dual 2-ohm configuration. The two 2-ohm voice coils offer various connection options, making the subwoofer particularly well-suited for use with high-power mono power amplifiers.

To ensure high mechanical durability, Phoenix Gold relies on a robust drive system and carefully tuned moving components. An unpressed paper cone combines low inherent resonance with the stability required for high volume levels. The high-profile, stitched surround allows for a large cone excursion, while three polycotton centering spiders control the cone’s movement.

The powerful ferrite magnet drive provides the magnetic force needed to precisely drive the heavy diaphragm assembly, even at high power levels. With a linear Xmax of 17.5 mm, the ZP12D2 has sufficient excursion reserves for powerful bass reproduction and high sound pressure levels.

This makes the Phoenix Gold ZP12D2 particularly well-suited for users who prioritize high bass levels, power handling, and powerful low-end bass.
