EXTREME POWER PROCESSING
A double black anodized 4-inch 8-layer flat wire aluminum voice coil gives the CMP S3-12D1 & CMP S3-12D.5 impressive power handling and heat dissipation. They are available in two versions - 1+1 Ohm or 0.5+0.5 Ohm - for perfect impedance matching to the respective amplifier. To ensure the best possible signal transmission and increased durability, double silver-plated stranded wires have been sewn into the spider package. The pre-installed 10 mm² oxygen-free copper direct wires provide excellent conductivity and ensure a strong and reliable direct connection between the subwoofer voice coil and the amplifier - without any additional resistors or poor contacts.
ENORMOUS ENDURANCE
At this ultimate level, linearity and precision are crucial. A moving unit with a huge cone and a high-quality, US-made voice coil (80 mm winding height) that must remain perfectly aligned even at extreme excursions. To keep this enormous moving mass under control, we implemented a 4-layer Nomex spider package with orange mesh and a mega-roll foam surround at the top edge - double stitched to the cone, of course.
HIGH QUALITY PRECISION
The extremely rigid cone - reinforced with mica cellulose - offers uncompromising performance for maximum control and precision, even at the highest sound pressure levels. On top - quite literally - is a specially adapted carbon dust cap that protects the inner workings of this 44-kilogram powerhouse and makes cone warping a thing of the past. The result is a subwoofer with extreme rigidity, unparalleled control and outstanding precision.

This subwoofer was designed from the ground up for extreme applications.
At its heart is a carefully selected, massive 11-inch wide quad-stacked hybrid neo/ferrite magnet driver with a total weight of over 44 kilograms - powered by four oversized 280 mm / 165 oz magnets for a total of 666 oz. It delivers absolute control over the enormous 80 mm X-Max for unprecedented precision and depth. In addition, the state-of-the-art DVS2™ cooling system ensures that the subwoofer maintains its peak performance under full load, even in the toughest competitions. The CMP S3-12D1 & S3-12D.5 demands attention - and plenty of space - but rewards with unprecedented bass levels.
