ESX SE1500.1

The ESX SE1500.1 from the SIGNUM SE series is a powerful mono Class D power amplifier designed for high-performance subwoofer systems. Despite its compact size, it delivers up to 1,500 watts RMS into 1 ohm, making it suitable for both power-oriented bass systems and high-end sound-quality installations.

The modern Class D circuit combines high output power with an efficiency of up to 90%. As a result, the power amplifier remains relatively compact and operates efficiently even under heavy loads. The solid die-cast aluminum heat sink ensures reliable heat dissipation and high thermal stability.

With 750 watts RMS at 4 ohms, 1,150 watts RMS at 2 ohms, and 1,500 watts RMS at 1 ohm, the SE1500.1 offers a wide range of possible subwoofer configurations. The amplifier is designed for speaker impedances ranging from 1 to 8 ohms.

To adjust the low-frequency range, you can use an adjustable subsonic filter ranging from 10 to 50 Hz, a low-pass filter ranging from 40 to 150 Hz, and a bass boost of up to 12 dB. The bass boost operates at 45 Hz.

In addition to the standard RCA inputs, the SE1500.1 features high-level inputs with the ESX EPS® Error Protection System. This system is particularly useful with modern OEM audio systems, as it can prevent error messages from the vehicle’s own speaker monitoring system. The high-level inputs also provide an automatic power-on function via a DC signal.

The package includes the compact REM-ESX2 bass level remote control. It can be disassembled for a particularly discreet installation, allowing only the control unit to be integrated into the dashboard or center console.

The power amplifier is also start-stop compatible and normally operates at a supply voltage of 10.5 to 17 volts. The supply voltage may drop to as low as 7 volts for up to five seconds.
