AudioControl EPIC1500

The AudioControl EPIC1500 is a compact mono amplifier designed for high-performance in-vehicle subwoofer systems. Its Class D amplifier stage combines high output power with a space-saving design and is rated for loads as low as 1 ohm. This makes the EPIC1500 particularly well-suited for demanding bass installations that require high power and flexible tuning.

At 1 ohm, the monoblock delivers 1,500 watts RMS. At higher impedances, it delivers 1,000 watts RMS at 2 ohms and 600 watts RMS at 4 ohms. For systems requiring particularly high power, two compatible EPIC1500 units can be linked together. In this configuration, 3,000 watts RMS at 2 ohms is possible.

To optimize performance with subwoofers and enclosures, the amplifier features a variable Linkwitz-Riley low-pass filter and an adjustable subsonic filter. In addition, EPICBoost™ enables targeted bass boost. The center frequency can be set between 30 and 80 Hz, and the selected frequency range can be boosted by up to 12 dB.

A unique feature of the EPIC series is its integration with AudioControls’ THE EPICENTER®. Using the EPICENTER Link, a compatible bass restoration processor can be easily integrated into the system. The required connection cable is included in the package.

Also included is the ACR-E wired remote control. It allows you to adjust the subwoofer level directly from the driver's seat without having to change the settings on the amplifier itself.

An integrated auto-reset protection system monitors various critical operating conditions. These include output overcurrent, input overvoltage and undervoltage, DC voltage at the output, and excessive operating temperature. Once the corresponding condition has been resolved, the protection system can automatically resume operation.
