The MATCH UP 8BMW is the "M-Package" for your BMW HiFi sound system! This highly efficient 8-channel plug & play upgrade amplifier with integrated 9-channel 64-bit DSP was specially developed for BMW E & F and G30 / G31 (pre-facelift) with hi-fi sound system (option 676) and ensures a significantly more powerful and dynamic sound experience with comfortable integration at the same time. Because a BMW needs sound that is on a par with its dynamics!
Seamless connection and convenient upgrade options
With the UP 8BMW, a simple and seamless connection to the BMW hi-fi sound system at the original installation location is possible without any problems thanks to the included plug & play connection cable and BMW-specific mounting plate. To simplify further upgrades, it is perfectly designed for combination with other MATCH UPGRADE components for BMW vehicles, such as subwoofers, 2-way systems and center speakers. Thanks to the powerful 9-channel DSP, a total of eight amplifier channels and the additional preamplifier output, individual loudspeaker configurations can of course also be realized. Two power amplifier channels, each with an output power of 160 W into 2 ohms, deliver plenty of power to give even large subwoofers a boost. The UP 8BMW is also characterized by its extended connectivity: In addition to the intelligent 6-channel high-level input with ADEP.3 circuitry, it is also equipped with a MEC slot for adding additional interfaces, such as Bluetooth® HD audio streaming. There is also a 1-channel line output for connecting additional amplifiers such as the MATCH UP 1FX and an optical SPDIF input with a sampling rate of up to 96 kHz. Of course, the SCP port for optional accessories such as DIRECTOR, CONDUCTOR etc. is also included.
Virtual Channel Processing - how signal routing works today
Optimum adaptation to existing multi-channel sound systems makes sensible management and configuration of the many DSP channels in the amplifier essential - so there was no question that the UP 8BMW was also equipped with Audiotec Fischer's innovative Virtual Channel Processing.
Especially when the front, rear and center systems are split into different active multi-way systems, conventional routing concepts quickly reach their limits in terms of implementation and operability. The multi-stage "Virtual Channel Processing", in conjunction with the recognized user-friendly DSP PC-Tool software, makes it possible to easily map even highly complex system configurations and freely assign our proprietary FX sound features.
In addition, thanks to its generous number of channels, the UP 8BMW, in conjunction with the optional MEC ANALOG IN module, is also an ideal candidate for applications where 1 to 1 routing (IOR) is required.
ACO - Advanced 32 Bit CoProcessor platform
The UP 8BMW is of course equipped with the proprietary 32-bit ACO platform - this not only handles all control tasks ultra-fast, but above all offers a whole bundle of audio functions: Fantastic sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing or RealCenter are implemented as well as a channel-separated Input EQ including Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of input signals from OE radios, which already include a sound setup ex works.

Of course, the MATCH UP 8BMW can be configured using our professional and exceptionally intuitive DSP PC-Tool 5. The familiar, numerous setting options leave nothing to be desired and guarantee extremely precise sound adjustment even with complex system configurations. And thanks to the proprietary TuneEQ function for automated frequency response correction, you also save a lot of time when tuning the sound.

ACO - Advanced 32 Bit CoProcessor
The MATCH UP 8BMW amplifier uses a particularly powerful 32-bit CoProcessor of the latest generation. This not only handles all control tasks ultra-fast, but also the lightning-fast switching between up to ten possible sound setups.
But ACO offers much more - in addition to a channel-separated Input EQ including Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of input signals from OE radios and fantastic sound effects such as Augmented Bass Processing or RealCenter, there is now the revolutionary TuneEQ function for automated adjustment of the output equalizers.
Another significant advantage is the integrated, native bootloader of the CoProcessor. This enables software upgrades of all components of the DSP, for example to adapt the microcontroller-controlled ADEP.3 circuit to changes in diagnostic systems of factory radios in the future or to expand the device with additional interfaces.
Intelligent high-level input ADEP.3
Modern, factory-fitted car radios are becoming increasingly intelligent with regard to the diagnosis of the connected speakers. The latest generation of BMW radios in particular is equipped with additional monitoring functions so that error messages or even malfunctions can occur if an additional amplifier is connected. The new ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection Generation 3) prevents these problems without unnecessarily overloading the radio's speaker outputs at high levels.
Start-stop capability
The power supply unit in the UP 8BMW amplifier ensures the internal power supply even in the event of short-term dips down to 6 volts. This ensures that the amplifier remains fully functional even when the engine is started. If the on-board voltage drops below 10.5 volts for longer than 5 seconds, the amplifier switches to "Protect Mode" (status LED lights up red continuously) to prevent further discharge of the battery.
Automatic Digital Signal Detection
Switching between the analog and digital inputs is signal-controlled. As soon as an audio signal is detected at the optical input, the amplifier switches to this input. This function can be deactivated in the DSP PC-Tool software or, alternatively, manual control can be selected using an optionally available remote control.
Power save mode
The power save mode allows the power consumption of the UP 8BMW (and any additional amplifiers connected) to be drastically reduced if no input signal is present for longer than 60 seconds. As soon as the "Power Save Mode" is active, the internal amplifier stages of the UP 8BMW and the remote output are switched off, thus significantly reducing the power consumption. The amplifier returns to normal operating mode within 2 seconds as soon as a music signal is applied to its input. The switch-off delay can be varied or completely deactivated using the DSP PC-Tool software.

TuneEQ
TuneEQ is an extremely flexible and particularly easy-to-use function for automated frequency response correction. A single measurement per audio channel or channel pair with a suitable measurement microphone (such as our MTK1) is sufficient for TuneEQ to adjust the equalizers independently and precisely to the desired reference curve. TuneEQ uses the entire range of functions of the parametric equalizer, including the center frequency, the Q factor and the gain. And because the highly complex computing operations required for this run in the background, you also save a lot of time when tuning the sound with TuneEQ.
RealCenter
The "RealCenter" function is a proprietary algorithm from Audiotec Fischer that emphasizes the monaural information of the left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. In contrast to conventional methods, where only the channels are summed up, the center signal is also dynamically controlled by the stereophonic information content of the left and right channels. This means that the center channel does not reproduce a signal if only the left or only the right channel delivers an audio signal. With conventional algorithms, the center channel would only be 6 dB quieter in this case. Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" therefore enables a unique, wide-ranging soundstage - and this is optimal for both driver and front passenger! The disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an intrusive, narrow spatial sound presentation, are finally a thing of the past.
Augmented Bass Processing
Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Augmented Bass Processing", consisting of two revolutionary sound features: "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander". These have been specially developed to dramatically improve the bass response of subwoofers.
"Dynamic Bass Enhancement" ingeniously combines maximum low bass foundation and high maximum sound pressure - regardless of the type of music you are listening to or the sound settings on the radio. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" boosts the lower frequency range on the one hand and varies the cut-off frequency of the subsonic filter on the other. The result is a much more powerful, deeper bass reproduction at low and medium volumes without running the risk of mechanically or electrically overloading the subwoofer at high volumes. The bass performance that is suddenly possible is simply fascinating.
If you want the bass range to be a little deeper and "blacker", you can also activate the "SubXpander". This adds subharmonic tones to the fundamental tones in the frequency range between 50 and 100 Hz.
