The net volume is always particularly important here; calculate the pure chamber of the subwoofer beforehand to arrive at the correct result. The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.
Manufacturer Information
The REF82 reference system from the Danish manufacturer promises extremely high-resolution sound reproduction with perfectly matched 2-way crossovers. The connection to a 2-channel amplifier is kept extremely simple and can be controlled via the two inputs of the crossover, the outputs occupy the respective loudspeakers.
If you still want to exploit the full potential, you should resort to fully active operation using a processor or DSP amplifier. The maximum can be achieved by controlling each individual loudspeaker, and absolute listening pleasure can be achieved by adjusting the EQ and delay time.
The REF8W 8-inch woofer uses a paper cone enriched with carbon fibers, this combination improves the audio reproduction enormously. The combination of paper and carbon sounds more natural and direct and gives the lower frequency ranges (<250 Hz) more warmth and precession. The cone also increases rigidity without adding unnecessary weight. Another advantage is that the mechanical limits of the loudspeaker are kept linear.
The REF V2 Mani tweeter, on the other hand, not only impresses with its unique look in the aluminum housing. Its gentle, yet present high tones round off the overall sound image and enable an easy transition to the bass-midrange driver. Due to their size and construction, the Mani tweeters achieve a very low resonance frequency, which significantly expands the adjustment options and the range of applications.
As the reference series was more about the relaxed, underlined look, the only logos are on the front of the grilles. However, the machined backplates still feature CNC logos.
