The net volume is calculated minus all displacements and is important when designing the enclosure.

25 cm (10") downfire cabinet subwoofer with passive cone
The GTi250S downfire subwoofer is constructed with a 10-inch passive cone and delivers rich bass without taking up much space in the trunk. Thanks to the resonating passive cone, long bass reflex channels and a large internal volume can be dispensed with without having to sacrifice powerful bass. The GTi Downfire cabinet subwoofers therefore have a very flat design and can be installed virtually horizontally in the trunk. They act as a double floor and even groceries can be placed on them.
