The new UP 8DSP is a true all-rounder that not only delivers unbridled power and dynamics for real hi-fi sound, but also has all the requirements for easy integration into the vehicle on board.
With its six high-level inputs, an optical digital input, the MATCH extension card slot and many intelligent technologies such as the proprietary ADEP.3 circuit, the UP 8DSP is optimally equipped for seamless adaptation to existing multi-channel sound systems.
Furthermore, with a total of eight amplifier channels and the additional preamplifier output, individual speaker configurations can also be implemented thanks to the powerful 9-channel DSP. Two power amplifier channels, each with 160 W sinus power at 2 ohms, deliver powerful steam to help even large subwoofers get going.
Optimal adaptation to existing multi-channel sound systems makes sensible management and configuration of the many DSP channels in the amplifier unavoidable - so there was no question that the UP 8DSP was also equipped with Audiotec Fischer's innovative Virtual Channel Processing.
Especially when the front, rear and center systems are broken down into different active multi-way systems, you quickly reach your limits with conventional routing concepts in terms of implementation and usability. The multi-stage "Virtual Channel Processing" makes it possible, in connection with the recognized user-friendly DSP PC tool software, to easily map even highly complex system configurations and to freely assign our proprietary FX sound features.
In addition, thanks to its generous number of channels, in conjunction with the optional MEC ANALOG IN module, the UP 8DSP is also an ideal candidate for applications where 1 to 1 routing (IOR) is required.
The UP 8DSP is of course equipped with the proprietary 32-bit ACO platform - this not only takes over all control tasks extremely quickly, but above all offers a whole bundle of audio functions: Fantastic sound effects such as augmented bass processing or RealCenter are implemented as well as a channel-separated input EQ Input Signal Analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of the input signals from OE radios that already contain a factory sound setup.
Despite a large range of functions and a concentrated performance of 6 x 65 at 4 ohms plus 2 x 90 / 160 watts at 4 / 2 ohms, the UP 8DSP MATCH comes in an extremely compact design, as is customary, so that it can be installed without any problems even in confined spaces is.
Of course, the MATCH UP 8DSP can be configured using our new, professional and at the same time exceptionally intuitive DSP PC Tool 5. The well-known, numerous setting options leave nothing to be desired and guarantee extremely precise sound adjustment even with complex system configurations. And thanks to the new, proprietary TuneEQ function for automated frequency response correction, you save a lot of time when tuning the sound.
Audiotec Fischer's unique Class GD concept combines the advantages of Class G technology with the principle of a Class D amplifier.
This results in an unusually high degree of efficiency, which once again surpasses conventional Class D amplifiers. The advantages of the Class GD concept come into play at low and medium modulation levels, in that the internal supply voltage of the power stages varies in stages depending on the amplitude of the input signal. This drastically reduces the average power loss generated by the amplifier.
The MATCH UP 8DSP amplifier uses a particularly powerful 32-bit CoProcessor of the latest generation. This not only takes over all control tasks extremely quickly, but also switches between the up to ten possible sound setups at lightning speed.
But ACO offers much more - in addition to a channel-separated input EQ including input signal analyzer (ISA) for easy analysis and compensation of the input signals from OE radios and fantastic sound effects such as augmented bass processing or RealCenter, there is now the revolutionary TuneEQ function for automatically adjusting the Output Equalizer.
Another major advantage is the CoProcessor's integrated, native bootloader. This enables software upgrades of all components of the DSP, for example to be able to adapt the microcontroller-controlled ADEP.3 circuit to changes in the diagnostic systems of factory radios in the future or to expand the device with additional interfaces.
Modern, factory-installed car radios are becoming more and more intelligent when it comes to diagnosing the connected loudspeakers. The latest generation in particular is equipped with additional monitoring functions, so that error messages or even malfunctions can occur when an additional amplifier is connected. The new ADEP.3 circuit (Advanced Diagnostics Error Protection Generation 3) prevents these problems without unnecessarily loading the speaker outputs of the radio at high levels.
The power pack in the UP8DSP amplifier ensures the internal power supply even in the case of short-term dips down to 6 volts. This ensures that the amplifier remains fully functional even when the engine is started. If the on-board voltage falls below 10.5 volts for longer than 5 seconds, the amplifier goes into "Protect Mode" (status LED lights up red continuously) to prevent further discharge of the battery.
The UP8DSP allows signal-controlled switching between the analogue and the digital input. As soon as an audio signal is detected at the optical input, the amplifier switches to this input. This function can be activated in the DSP PC-Tool software or, alternatively, manual control can be selected using an optionally available remote control.
The Power Save mode allows the power consumption of the UP8DSP (and possibly additionally connected amplifiers) to be drastically reduced if there is no input signal for longer than 60 seconds. As soon as the "Power Save Mode" is active, the internal amplifier stages of the UP 8DSP and the remote output are switched off, thus significantly reducing power consumption. The amplifier returns to normal operation within 2 seconds as soon as a music signal is present at its input. The switch-off delay can be varied or completely deactivated via the DSP PC-Tool software.

TuneEQ is an extremely flexible and particularly easy-to-use function for automated frequency response correction. A single measurement per audio channel or channel pair with a suitable measurement microphone (e.g. our MTK1) is sufficient for TuneEQ to independently and precisely adapt the equalizer to the desired reference curve. TuneEQ uses the full functionality of the parametric equalizer, including center frequency, Q factor and gain. And because the highly complex arithmetic operations required for this run in the background, you also save a lot of time when tuning the sound with TuneEQ.
The "RealCenter" function is an Audiotec Fischer proprietary algorithm that emphasizes the monaural information of the left and right front channels to create a unique center signal. In contrast to the usual method, in which only the channels are summed up, there is also a dynamic control of the center signal through the stereophonic information content of the left and right channel. This means that the center channel does not reproduce a signal if only the left channel or only the right channel provides an audio signal. With the usual algorithms, the center channel would only be 6 dB quieter in this case. Audiotec Fischer's "RealCenter" thus enables a unique, wide-ranging stage image - and that's ideal for driver and passenger alike! The disadvantages of a conventional center channel, such as an obtrusive, narrow spatial sound representation, are finally a thing of the past.
Audiotec Fischer's proprietary "Augmented Bass Processing", consisting of the two revolutionary sound features: "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" and "SubXpander". These are specifically designed to dramatically improve bass response from subwoofers.
"Dynamic Bass Enhancement" combines in an ingenious way maximum deep bass foundation and high maximum sound pressure - regardless of the type of music you are listening to or the sound settings on the radio. Depending on the input signal, "Dynamic Bass Enhancement" boosts the lower frequency range on the one hand and varies the cut-off frequency of the subsonic filter on the other. The result is a significantly more powerful, deeper bass reproduction at low and medium volumes without running the risk of mechanically or electrically overloading the subwoofer at high volumes. It's simply fascinating what kind of bass performance is suddenly possible.
If you want the bass range to be a little deeper and "blacker", you can also activate the "SubXpander". Here, additional subharmonic tones are added to the fundamental tones in the frequency range between 50 and 100 Hz.
