Our beryllium tweeter is the culmination of our latest innovations, combining for the first time our M-profile dome tweeter with our patented TMD® surround. With this new combination, our development teams have succeeded in extending the frequency response and achieving a better dispersion pattern. We also get a tweeter range that is unsurpassed in its precision and finesse, and an incredible width of soundstage.
BERYLLIUM TWEETER WITH "M" PROFILE AND REVERSED CALOTTE
Beryllium, the only metal capable of scratching glass due to its extreme rigidity, is the perfect material for a tweeter dome. Two years of research and development led to a world first: the development of a pure beryllium tweeter dome that can cover more than five octaves. This is an exclusive and globally unique Focal technology, which we have now combined with our latest innovation, the "M" profile, which enables optimal dispersion and the use of a large 1" (25 mm) voice coil for improved power handling.
TMD® SURROUND
Our TMD® surround (Tuned Mass Damper) was originally developed for the Sopra range of high-fidelity speakers and features a unique profile that better controls the effects of resonance and drastically reduces distortion associated with cone deformation.

The Utopia M range is entirely designed, developed and manufactured in France, in our workshops in Saint-Etienne. A unique and internationally recognized know-how for almost forty years.
